Wayne Pinnell, managing partner of Haskell & White, Irvine, has been named the 2010 Partner for the Cure by the Orange County a;liate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure for his e;orts to raise awareness of breast cancer — which he did with a bright pink RV. Having been named an o;cial “Pink Tie Guy” by the Komen Orange County A;liate in May, Pinnell transformed his 40-foot-long, 12-foot-tall recreational vehicle into a bright pink mobile billboard in support of the 19th annual Race for the Cure. From July through October, Pinnell drove the RV to hotspots throughout Orange County to promote race registrations for the event and distribute educational information regarding breast health.

Approximately 200 volunteers from RubinBrown, St. Louis, celebrated the company’s ;fth annual Outreach Day last fall by working at 12 nonpro;ts in the area. Among other things, sta; packaged rice, soy and dried vegetables for feeding programs in sub-Saharan Africa as part of the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center’s World Food Commemoration Day, and spent the day restoring and maintaining the Magic House’s garden and outdoor play area. Separately, the ;rm co-sponsored the 15th Annual Greater St. Louis Top 50 Awards with the St. Louis Regional Chamber & Growth Association, recognizing 50 of the most signi;cant companies in the St. Louis region.
